Hi
Just require some help in wrting some code please.

I have a stock control form (continous form) that has 4 number fields;
1.Holding quanty,
2.Minimum Quantity,
3.Quantity out,
4.balance

I would like the Balance field to show a different colour when the stock level falls below the minimum quantity.
Numbner fields are;
Holding quantiy = HQty
Minimum quantity = MQty
Quantiy Out = QOut
Balance = Bal

Thank you
Integrity

Not sure what you're missing. (I'm looking at Access 2010 in case it's any different from '07 on this part - I don't remember for certain, and don't have an Access '07 install nearby at the moment to compare)

With your form in Design View..

1. Select the Balance field
2. Select the Format tab from under "Form Design Tools" in the ribbon.
3. Click the button for "Conditional Formatting" - mine is to the right on the ribbon, large button, hard to miss.
4. Click the button, "New Rule"
5. Change the 2nd drop down to "less than"
6. Put [MQty] in the last blank to the right
7. Set your format options below that
8. OK out of the prompt(s)
9. Test

Unless I'm missing something, that's all you need to do.

Hi The Aceman1,

What did work was your first equation;balance = HQty<MQty.

Many thanks for your reply..
