I have a report that returns the values of fields CAT_ITEM_NAME and XXX_ITEM_NAME. I would like the conditional format to bold only those characters within XXX_ITEM_NAME that ARE different from CAT_ITEM_NAME.

I doubt you could do this without some code the uses the Print method to write the field values to the report "canvas".

If you need more help, provide some field names, sample values, and what you would expect to see.
