I have a fairly simple Cognos List report that has a long list of columns. This makes it very difficult to read even when printed on a legal size paper and in landscape orientation.
At any given point of time, for any given period of reporting time, not all the columns have data. In fact, most of the time, many of the columns are completly empty.
Is there a way to conditionally print only columns that have data in them.
Any help, guidance, ideas, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

AFAIK there is no existing 'setting' you can use to achieve this. However, you should be able to perform a count on each column's dataitem and then conditionally render/hide the column based on the boolean value true/false (1/0) :
count([data_item] for report) = 0
