Condition Based Maitnenance

I am looking for methodology to use MIMS for accurate and relevent condition based maintenance.

With the likelihood of changing maintenance strategies with age related failure modes, this is not something I have uncovered.

Is this the correct forum for these sorts of issues?

MIMS does support Condition Monitoring and the recording of relevant measures to trigger maintenance activities. Is that the sort of thing you were looking for or have you already looked into that? MSO340

Donna,

I will look through the MSO340 screen and thank you for that.
However I am aware that MIMS does contain the condition monitoring module. It is my understanding that this is for providing decision support information.

It doesnt actually trigger, either automatic or manual entry, differing maintenance strategies nor does it stop old strategies until the part is replaced or a change in condition takes place.

Is this correct??
