Does anyone know what the max number of Access 97 seesions you can have open on 1 machine at any one time?

Is it only limited by the spec of the hardware?

Cheers.

I have never had more than 2 open at the same time...but I assume the biggest determination would be the amount of RAM in the computer.

Access 97 has got built in support for 255 connections concurrently. But after 5 connections, it starts slowing down for response.
This link will give you more idea about Access.

Sharing the best from my side...

Prashant,

Isn't that 255 concurrent connections to one database?

I believe the question was relating to how many instances of the MS Access application you could have open on a single PC.

If I've understood the question correctly then the number of instances would be limited purely on the spec of the PC you are running on (at least as far as I know).

Actually Ed you're quite right - that was the original thrust of my question which Tom alluded too.

I guessed it was probably a hardware spec issue but wanted to double-check.

Thanks.
