Concurrent Acces LVM question ?

Hi,

Can I use Concurrent Access LVM for following migration plan in HACMP environment:

* Change LVM to Concurrent Access LVM
* Access the CA LVM with a new node
* While the first node is still running production applications use the second node to read the data and migrate it to a new storage system and a new volume group with bigger PPSize

Is this a possible migration scenario ?

Only if the application supports CA. You don't want the nodes to step on eachother. are you using RAW devices or File Systems? At this point the OS doesn't control the access or locking, only the app. The only app I know of that does is Oracle.
