Hi.

Currently trying to concatenate several text and date cells but when I finish the date comes out as a number so I need to format in my formula but can't figure out how.

Here's my formula:

=CONCATENATE("CB:",A5,": ",D5,"")

Cell A5 is the date field that needs the formatting around it.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

Personally I never use the CONCATENATE function. You get the exact same results simply using the ampersand (&) between elements that you want concatenated.

As for the dates, you can force them to display however you want with the TEXT function.

Example:
[COLOR=blue white]="CB:" & Text(A5,"mm/dd/yy") & " - " & Text(D5,"mm/dd/yy")[/color]

[tt]_____
[blue]-John[/blue][/tt]
[tab][red]The plural of anecdote is not data[/red]
