I am concatenating 2 fields and some text in a text box. Something like:

=Reports!Rpt_Report!FirstName & " " & Reports!Rpt_Report!SecondName

If I try to preview the report Access gives an "Encountered Errors" message and crashes out. Has anybody else encountered this problem? If so any solutions?

Why Not just
Code:
=[FirstName] & " " & [SecondName]

Of course!Thanks.

The initial problem related to the fact I'd dragged a field onto the report and modified the control source which simply displayed #Error when I'd tried your suggestion - but creating a new text box has resolved it.

Been round and round on this one for a while without seeing it - so thanks again for your help.
