Concatenate Date field 1

How can i take a date field in my Qry and have a new qry field Month and Year? EG if I had 6/14/2007, i want one field in the qry to show 6 and another field show 2007.

i need those answers to sum up some data.

just in case, maybe their is another command to sum up the June 2007 data.

You may either use Month([date field]), Year([date field]) or Format([date field],'yyyy-mm')
