I am trying to convert from 97 to 2000 but get a permissions error on tables Msysobjects and Msysaces.
When I look at the table permissions user Admin does not have Administrative permission but I cannot give Admin this permission as the owner of the table is Engine. How do I give Admin the required permissions to do the convert.

Thanks

Seems like you are missing the 'mda' file that was used to created the Access 97 db.

I might try these 2 things.

1) Create a new Access 97 mdb
2) Import all the objects from your original mdb
3) Now convert this new temp mdb to your 2000 mdb

or
1) Create a new Access 2000 mdb
2) Import all the objects from your original mdb

Regardless, make sure to compile after you are done importing

Good Luck,
Hap...
