Hello all-
I have a Netware 4.11 network running multiple diskless workstations and one with a hard drive. Recently, the "smart" workstation can not shell to DOS from programs, but gives "Invalid Command.com." I tried to edit the login script to make sure the comspec setting was fine, but after exiting Netadmin, the system freezes and requires a re-boot of the workstation. We are using a command.com on the server and the container script points to it. If anyone has any experience with this, please respond. I'm at my wits end with this one. Thanks in advance.

By "smart" are you saying this is the one with a hard drive, and does it then mean that it has its own command.com locally. If this is the case, I would suggest that it is shelling to DOS using the networked command.com (because of new COMSPEC statement) and it is a different version of DOS to that installed locally. Maybe add an "IF P_STATION not-equal-to Mac address of HD machine" statement around the COMSPEC line to stop it changing the COMSPEC for this PC?.
