I am having a very strange occurance happen on my network. All (or the vast majority) of our computers aren't remembering their mapped drives. Almost every morning we have to go around and reset the mapped drives. I has been verified that the Reconnect at logon checkbox has been checked. I have checked to make sure that any logon scripts have been removed so that isn't the issue either. Our server is a Windows 2k server and the computers having the issue are Windows XP Professional.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Couple of ways I have seen this done Centrally.

Create an entry in your logon script that maps the drive letter.
If you logon script uses .bat file:
net use U: /delete
net use U: \\fileserver\User

If using VBScript for logon:
Set objNetwork = WScript.CreateObject("Wscript.Network")
objNetwork.MapNetworkDrive "U:", "\\fileserver\User", True
