Hi just upgraded an office to windows 7. Have added the computers to the domain successfully but some of the computers are not appearing in AD on the DC.

Have tried removing them from the domain and readding them but still the same issue.

Any ideas?

Cheers

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Don't think replication was configured properly in AD sites and services.

I have reconfigured and awaiting for the next replication to check the results.

Fingers crossed.

Cheers

You don't have to configure replication out of the box. If you have a multi-site topology then you need to configure AD Sites and Services to ensure that authentication and replication follows the correct site topology, but if it was working correctly before then the addition of Windows 7 wouldn't have changed anything.

Are you looking in the correct container for the newly joined PCs?

I have looked in every container and even performed a seacrch within AD. Nothing. Very confusing.
