I have a Pionex PC 333CPU/20 GB Hard Drive/192MBRAM with Windows 98SE.
I installed RealTek RTL8029(AS)Ethernet Card and computer does not shut down or restart. "Windows is shutting down" message remains on the desktop indefinitely. I replaced the RealTek card and driver. I installed a second card, Sohoware Fast Auto 10/100 PCI Ethernet Card and driver and I still can see "Windows is shutting down" hanging forever on the desktop.
The Pionex computer does shut down normally or restart without Ethernet cards, No Windows messages hanging upon shut down! When the PC is ready I just press the ON/OFF button.
How do I make the computer to stop hanging during shut down?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ed
