I found the klez virus on my pc. downloaded a program to remove it, thought it was gone. Had to replace somecorrupted files. computer rangood for about a week. Then I started getting an unhandled exception. Was workingon fixing when the computer became very unstable. Now it doesnt boot up. Is there anyway to fix this without formating?

You could try an overlay reinstall. You do an install to the same location and overwrite all the files.
Various versions have different problems doing it. SE is best.
You might need to delete win.com, the desktop directory, the registry files, and in a worst case I had to delete the entire windows directory tree to get one to go on. Ed Fair
