Guys I have a major problem. We have a computer named 'EMNETSERVICES02' which is inan active directory domain, our DC's run 2003 server (if it matters). We have an DNS alias CNAME 'PRINT' pointing to 'EMNETSERVICES02'. We also have a wins entry 'PRINT' pointing to the ip of emnetservices02.
When users try and connect to \\PRINT they receive a system error 53. I added a regkey per microsoft 'DisableStrictNameChecking', which fixed the problem when accessing via FQDN, but not UNC.
any ideas on how to get \\PRINT to work?
Thanks!
