For some odd reason my computer wont even boot. Ill turn it on and the monitor wont will say no connection even though it is connected. I tried replacing the videocard and still no luck. I pulled the ram and booted up the computer and I dont even get a sound from my bios? I even tried pulling out the cmos battery and booted up the comp and still no luck? Anyone have any ideas before I reinstall a new mobo? Also check all the power and everything is plugged in powered fine!

No beep from the system speaker could mean one of the following:-

1. PSU not working correctly on all rails. Try a temporary replacement with a known good unit - use same or higher Wattage.

2. CPU/heatsink fried or dislodged. Remove, replace carefully but firmly, clean heatsink and mating CPU surfaces, and apply a thin coating of fresh compound.

3. Motherboard dead - replace.

4. A wayward screw found its way underneath the motherboard and is shorting out one or more tracks. Remove motherboard from the case, just to check ok.

5. Front panel l.e.d. or reset switch shorting out. Remove all leads, including any flying leads off the mobo (USBs etc), and then just momentarily short the pwr-sw pins on the mobo to see if it'll power on.

Or...a major cause of sudden computer death is the bad capacitor plague
See if your motherboard is on the list and/or conduct a visual inspection of the caps.

What Kind of Mobo is it? I had a similar issue with my mobo ASUS, but cam to find out that they have an overheat sensor for the CPU, and when the fan or heatsink don't work properly, it shuts it down.
