In the past week or two my PC started randomly restarting (I guess it's just a blue screen, but auto-restarts)

Anyways, I can't figure out what is causing it. Here is the error I get.

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x1000008e (0xc0000005, 0xbf02b835, 0xb58da1b8, 0x00000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini040306-02.dmp.

The minidump contains the following:

Finished dump check

A large portion of these files listed appear to be audio drivers (however I'm not sure that they all are). Also, these drivers have not changed in months (actually, no drivers have changed). I upgraded my BIOS and chipset drivers today in attempts to resolve this isssue (to no avail).

Please let me know if you have any ideas.

You may receive a Stop error message on a blue screen when you start a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer or a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer

If you turn off Automatically Restarts, you should get a BSOD with a detailed message which (with luck) will list the actual driver or file that is the cause.

Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties .
On the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery .
Click to clear the Automatically restart check box under System failure , and then click OK . The error message on a blue screen should remain on the screen so you can record the error information.

The BSOD's all error with nv4_disp.dll (NVIDIA graphics driver). However, I have upgraded the drivers and still have the same problems. (I've also downgraded to some other versions to no avail).

I opened the PC up and the video card appears to be very hot. It has no fan, just a heatsink. Could video card overheating be the problem? If so, why would it "start to overheat"--this is a new problem and hardware hasn't changed. All mobo/case fans are still functioning as they always have.

Anyone have any ideas? Maybe something is wrong with the video card?
