Hi,

Is there a best practise I should follow for the location of Computer Objects within Active Directory? Or what do you guys tend to do?

I plan to have different GPO's for Laptops, Member Servers and Workstations.

It is for a single site environment with the user objects stored in departmental OU's

Thanks

It all depends on how you are administering things with regards to GPOs. I generally have separate OUs for member servers (further broken down to Exchange, file/print, etc), and workstations. Workstations has child OUs for Macs, laptops, desktops, and Parallels (Windows running on Macs). That way, I can more easily assign GPOs
