I have windows 2000, and when it boots - right before it get the the windows 2000 login screen, the monitor cuts off, but you can tell that the PC continues to boot. If I boot the computer in safe mode the monitor will continue to stay on. Thanks for any help in advance.

Your display resolution is set to high for the monitor. Change the display settings to a resolution it can handle when you boot into safe mode. All monitors should be able to handle 800 x 600 so start from there and adjust accordingly.
