I've searched high and low, but I can't seem to get this switched off. My Windows Server 2003 locks itself after a few minutes--and I've got to ALT-CTRL-DEL to get back in.

How do I disable that?! I never wanted it to automatically lock itself unless I tell it.

I tried that Power Options without any luck. I have them set to never.

In Active directory, Group policy, I assume it will show in a local policy of a standalone server...

edit the GP od domain controllers
"computer configuration"
"windows settings"
"local policy"
"security options"
"Interactive login: do not require Ctl, alt delte"
Enable it

Technome:

I think that is closer to what I'm looking to do. If I understand it correctly that would mean that after I boot the server, there is no initial logon. I sorta want that, but NOT the bloody "COMPUTER LOCKED" after inactivity.

control panel/display

check screensaver tab and make sure
'password protected' is NOT checked.

The policy setting does not get rid of the login screen just the irritating Ctrl-Alt-Delete screen
