Computer is freezing

I am running W2k w/ SP3 (a clean install), 1.8 ghz, 256mb ram, geoforce II, and a linksys network card. As I work the system will randomly freeze. Have to power system on and off and reboot. Does not matter what program or task you are running. It can be running for 1 hour or 10 hours, does not matter, will stil freeze Does anyone have a suggestion.

win2k has problems with freezing due to the via chipset if you have it.. but it is
only a matter of going to:
