Computer Inventory

I have been given the task of taking inventory of 120 + PC’s in our organization. Among other things to inventory, I need to make note of the Computer Name, OS, CPU speed, Ram, drive information and other system settings. Most if not all of this information can be found by right mouse clicking on the My Computer Icon and selecting properties.

Wondering if this information can be captured using a VB.Net program.

If yes, do you have any sample code you can give me, or other resources to point me to?

Any other suggestions for capturing this information?

I'm not sure on all of the items that you asked about, but recently I needed to determine the OS of a system that one of my apps was to be installed on and I found this:
