One user computer(XP pro) crashed on Monday. The computer could not be rebooted at all. Is a way to get data recoveried from the hard drive? Thanks.

You can use a data recovery service, which will cost you lots of money, or you can try to connect the hard drive to another computer and see if it can be accessed.

If it s recognized but can't be accessed you may need a Data Recovery software, such as GetDataBack which seems to have good success around here.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

You could also start the computer with BartPE and if the drive is still operable copy the data to a USB drive or onto a network drive.

David.

P.S.

And, while you're setting there with BartPE running do a chkdsk c:/r from the command line and see if you can repair the disk. Otherwise, after data is recovered, do a repair install of XP.

David.

The computer could not be rebooted at all.

Tell us more about that, do you see anything on your monitor, does it start to reboot then fails, do you see any LED disk activity etc.?

If it starts to reboot then fails you can try to reboot in safe mode.

may be able to provide a suitable boot disk that may help.
