So I recently purchased an entire new desktop system EXCEPT for the hard drive. I took my hard drive from my old system and placed it in my new system. I then up my new computer. The computer successfully goes through the BIOS and POST and gives me the prompt to Start Windows Normally, Start Windows in Safe Mode, etc. After I select any of the options the computer reboots and begins the POST and BIOS startup again. Suggestions?

The only way you can swap a HD with XP from one computer to a differt computer is if the mother boards is the same or same chip set. You can usually fix by doing a repair install if not you will have to reformat and re install.

If they don't work you could try repairing windows by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.
