Computer Based Training

Hello Everyone,

I have read various reviews of Computer Based Training (CBT's) and I am looking for the "best one." I have seen the demos of Nuggets and TestOut.

Does anyone have any opinion?

I have my MSCA2003 and plan on using it (CBT) to finish out my MCSE2003. Reading the blue books is about to make me mad and I need another venue to understand the material.

Any information on CBT's would be helpful.

Wishdiak, I noticed that you have used some CBT's...and that you resently failed an exam. Do you think TestOut isn't worth it? (Company is paying for the training).

I have a bunch from CBT Nuggets. They are very clear on their explanations of things. They do whiteboard training then actually show you on the computer. They have different instructors for different videos. Some are better than others but overall I really like them.

I wouldn't say that TestOut is bad in any way, especially if the company is paying for them.

I didn't get some of the concepts fully (such as publishing vs assigning software to computer objects vs user objects), but that may have been more about my trying to study while working 2 jobs and trying to find time for the family as well.

The only issue that I have with TestOut is in the final "Exam Simulation" questions. These were far too simple to really prepare one for the exam. The videos and review questions for each module were excellent.
