Hello all,
Im back this time with a question inregards to summary of $char variables. I have the following scenario:

Stairs Residence CareGiver Sex
Yes Appartment/Condo Yes M
Yes House No F
No Residential/Care Yes F

I need an output which can indicate the level of dependence among the variables ie: level of relationships which exist. For example is there a relationship between stairs and caregiver or stairs and residence?

I played around with proc freq but with no success. Any thoughts?

Greatly appreciative of any ideas

Use a chi-square test...

proc freq data=yourdata;
tables var1 * var2 / chisq;
run;

generally a p-value < 0.05 means there is a statistically significant difference in the category frequencies of the variables being tested.
