i was used to the displaying of compression ratio for backup to tape in my old backup software. I've looked everywhere in the commvault gui/reports, but can not find compression ratios.

Does CommVault even provide this at all?

Compression ratio can be seen by looking at the job properties (if not running look at jon history) and selecting the details tab at the end of data size it will tell you.
