hello,

I am trying to make a compound clipping mask in CS2. I have a photo and several paths. I want to use all of the paths to mask off the image. When I make the clipping path only one of the objects masks the photo. I have tried grouping the objects but to no avail. How do I create a single clipping mask with multiple objects and one image?

thanks any help would be much appreciated.

You can only make a clipping path using one object. In order for things to work do the following:

- select all the objects you want to use to mask the photo
- open the pathfinder tab and Alt+click on the "add to shape area" button to make one object out of all the ones you've selected

You should be able to create the clipping path now.
