Hi,

I am trying to create a dimension in Decision Stream that has a composite key (i.e. more than one attribute make up the primary key). During template creation i am unable to assign three attributes as the primary key. I tried concatenating the three attributes into one unique attribute and then assigning that as the primary key. But i received an error message during the dimension build stating that the primary key is not marked as an ID in the hierarchy reference structure.
Does anyone have any ideas on dealing with composite keys ?

Thanks

Hi,

You will need to concatenate the attribute items in a derivation as the data is collected into your hierarchy in DecisionStream. Normally the derived item will be marked as the ID attribute at the lowest level.

When you deliver this to via your dimension build, make sure that this item from the hierarchy is defined in the output template with a behaviour of Primary Key - True.

Regards,

MF.

Thanks !! Marking the derived primary key as the ID attribute at the lowest level worked.

Thank you for your suggestion.
