HI

I have searched and found lots of useful artilces on how to compose html emails - using tables, css, absolute links and so on and on.

My problem is more basic than that. I want to use DW8 to compose what will be a nice email(I hope!). How do I get that code into the body of an email? If I save the page as fred.html how do I then get it into the body of an email to see what it looks like?

I am using Thunderbird or Outlook 2000. Thunderbird has an html editor built in, which is a start.

Thanks in advance
Edward

Hi, Edward

In Outlook 2k, when you are creating an html email, do insert/file and find your .html file containing the html code you want to insert. Click on the dropdown arrow beside the insert button in the open file dialog and select "insert as text".

That will insert the html code from the file into the message at the current cursor position.

I know it sounds wierd to insert as text when what you want is graphics, but after all these are the guys who have you click on START to shut down, so semantics are wonky.

Sorry, I don't know about T'Bird.

I hope this is what you were looking for.

Keeping in mind that Outlook 2003 does not display linked images by default. This means many people won't see your nice layout.
