Component Gallery error 1

Does anyone know how to fix error when clicking on Component gallery:

Cannot update cursor "catalog1" since it is read only?

Andy,

At risk of stating the obvious, is it possible that the relevant table is in fact read-only? Have you checked in Windows Explorer?

Error occurs immediately after Foxpro loads without any open /read-only tables (that i can figure out at least).

Cant figure out this weird behavior all of a sudden.

Additionally, I notice that both gallery and class browser crash when debugger is open but open fine when debugger is not open

Have you verified that you have sufficient rights to all applicable folders?

I dont think it is a rights issue because I have not changed any folder settings and this behavior just started happening within last two weeks

Try resetting the Debugger to its default settings and see if that helps. Might be something corrupted in FoxUser.

Resetting the debugger has stopped the crashing.

Unfortunately my original problem with component gallery read-error problem still occurs.

Try opening the table under the Component Gallery (home() + "Gallery\vfpglry.dbf") and deleting the records for Catalog1.

Actually, rename the table and let VFP create a new one.

Do you have a magic wand or something? Renaming the files worked like a charm.

Dare I ask 1 more question? The crashing stopped with resetting windows in debugger. But it resumed when i closed "call stack" and "debug output" windows. Its definitely liveable but slightly annoying. This did not occur in FP 8.

No ideas on that. I don't use the Component Gallery.
