Building a Database,

Kind of simple, Contract entry from for entering data, I have 30 piece of equipment for rent each day. Each piece can only be use once per day.

How do I build a formula/macro to check other contracts to verify that the equipment is not being used that day, so that it can not be entered in to the system.

What I am looking for is a fool proff way so that my "hired help" can't rent out the same thing twice in one day.

I can send a copy of my dbase as is if it will help any one out.

Add a field to the contract item record that combines the item ID and date into one field. Then validate that field as "unique". The user will not be able to commit the item to the contract if the item is already on another contract for the same date.
