hi,

this involves no extra knowledge of flash. pls tell me if u r clear with basics of flash. what i can offer u here is just few tips.

* u need to make main menu place your buttons ( rollover action on these buttons will begin tell target to play another mc that contains sub menu.)

* ur submenu mc is also a menu like the earlier one which will be doing the desired actions.

* the trick in this is that either all your submenus are in a same mc so that when the new one appears the eariler one is removed.

take care,

I haven't looked at your link because I don't have the patience to wait for large files on my connection. However, having a guess at what you're talking about, why not just look at Flash's own samples which come with the program:

I have an additional question relating to this. If the button to the drop-down menu is in the "top" frame, is it possible to have it drop down and overlap the "main" frame?

Adam

hi Adam,

if you are talking about html frames and you have two of them on your html page and want to overlap. i dont think its possible ??? but if u mean "top" layer by "top" frame or something like that then, yes it is possible to have dropdown menu in any mc in any layer or level and spreading on main stage.

take care,

thanks, sachdeva. I was refering to html frames. Too bad too, I had a neat idea for my site. Thanks for the info though.
