I have a customer with 9.1.1 ipo 500v2 and a Linux application server running contact recorder and vmpro.

I cannot get into the voicemail pro client anymore. I have the passwords. I still have root access to the linux box and I still have web control access on
I have tried creating a new user in the web GUI i.e Alluser/Allpassword and i set that user with everything turned on. I still cannot access voicemail pro with it. It says "invalid user or password".

I also tried deleting the "uesrlist.dat" and tried replacing it with a new one or just having the system recreate it with a reboot.

My question is:
A) anyone know how to fix this?
B) Will upgrading to 9.1.3 help me in anyway other then "fixing a bug"?

I assume you have a backup :)
Uninstall from the webcontrol page and reinstall.
export the modules from the backup and import them.
See if access works.
If it does then import other stuff like wav files.
Ofcourse you could try to restore the backup first.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Does VMPro work at all? (Just the access gone bad?)

Kind regards

Gunnar

The reason i needed to log in because their Module names are not working when I send incoming call routes to VM:NameOfModule or shot codes that are shortcode/voicemail collect/NameOfModule

Mailboxes are all working, and this customer uses "mandatory" call record on all users. My main concern is destroying the call recordings. Can I uninstall the voicemail service without touching Onex Portal and Contact Recorder?

I have been having some issues recently as well with 9.1 when trying to login to the VMPro client. The client gives me an error of invalid username/password when I know 100% that I am using the right credentials. Using the same credentials it allows me to login from one PC but not another. Uninstalling and reinstalling the VMPro client resolved the issue at least temporarily.

to reset the VM pro client passwords back to default simply delete the file /opt/vmpro/Accounts/userlist.dat

You can see in the first post that I had already done that

Check the security settings on the IPO.

Bear in mind, I have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about, but my buddy mentioned something to this effect on a 9.1 server edition last week and something something security settings kept having permissions removed.

if deleting the file does not work then the server has been set to "Referred Authentication" & is trying to authenticate against the (unsued) IP Office server edition on the same server

the simplest work around is to browse to the server of 7071
go to settings /system & turn referred authentication off

I had the same problem after upgrading from 9.0 to 9.1.2. It's a know bug in Technical Bulletin 181: IPOFFICE-89525 VMPro Administrator cannot login with Voicemail Client after UCM upgrade to 9.1 SP1

Upgrading to 9.1.3 should solve your problem.

This post has been up for a while but I've also been locked out of 9.1.1.0 both in the client and SSH (admin login) and enabling Management Services and Web Manager on the Application Server "7071 page" let me back in (sometimes I've turned these off to save memory on the server). I'm assuming it was Management Services being disabled that was affecting it in my case.

Yes, the 'Management Services' on an IP Office Application Server (and UCM) is the shell IP Office that controls security when referred authentication is being used.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Hi, I just stumbled on this and am having the same issue. A customer who doesn't have Administrative rights on his laptop is not able to get into any of the 9.1.1 sites we installed, using the VM Pro client. These systems are running VM Pro on the UC module. He can login with Manager and the web management tools with no problem. He never had a problem with 8.1 or 9.0 if wants to log into VM Pro to do anything with his call flows. Is it a definite that going into the web management on 7071 and disabling referred authentication will resolve this? This the V1 module, not the V2 that is now out, if that matters.
