Took the 70-291 yesterday and passed first time. It was definitely the hardest of the 5 tests i've taken so far.

Used CBT Nuggets and Train Signal CBT's. Also have a full lab setup at home to do everything along with the videos. I didnt bother with the big blue evil MS Press book this time.

All out of the way. Working on the 70-284 now to get the MCSA 2003 Messaging. Then off to get the MCSE :)

Future00,

Way to go! I used the CBT Nuggets video for 70-299 (when I just wasn't getting it from the book) and it helped enough to pass (FWIW).

Thanks :)

Since you got the Security SA... What do you think would be easier. The 299 and 350 for me to get Security or just keep on studying for the 284 and get Messaging? I eventually will end up doing them all but want to get the easier ones out of the way while I have my work paying for all my stuff... I just got another 6 month performance bonus contract. (We just got bought out by a much bigger company last year and these contracts are guaranteeing us a job every 6 months. Its kinda screwy. I been there 3 years now.)

I been studying the 284 non-stop since the day I passed the last exam for SA and have a lab setup with 2 DC's and 2 Exchange servers. (Front-End and Back-End) All this routing crap sucks. So many types.

Future00,

If you're elbows deep in 70-284 already, work pays for your exams, and you're planning to get the Security specialization, I'd say you should complete the Messaging specialization first.

70-299 was a brutal exam, although having passed it, I really felt that I'd accomplished something. The CBT Nuggets helped me pass it on the 2nd try, but of course YMMV.

Good luck in any case.
