Complete Restore of SBS 2008 Fails - Element not found 0x80070490

Hi all,

We're trying to perform a complete restore of SBS 2008.

The old server is no longer available (it was a HP Proliant ML110 G5).

Just to recover some emails from it, I thought we'd just recover it to alternative hardware, in this case a Zoostorm PC.

I boot from SBS 2008 Media, Choose the Complete Restore, it finds my backup on the USB drive no problem, however as soon as I try and restore I get:

Restore Failed – Element not found 0x80070490

I've tried changing the boot order as per this article:

I've tried wiping the hard drive I've restoring to so it has no partitions on there and I've also tried converting it to a dynamic disk first (server was running dynamic disks before)

So far no joy at all, any ideas anyone?
