Complete Newbie Question

Supporting a server that should have the Progress 9.1D Admin Service running on it ...... but it's stopped and won't restart.
When trying to restart I get an MMC Error 1053 (TimeOut)
---- some issues apparently with Powerchute 6.x so have already disabled those services.

Any Ideas ??

Sorry should have mentioned, by the time I'd been asked to look, the server had already been rebooted three times and I did it again !!!!!

Hi,

I had the same problem with powerchute. Did you completely unistall Powerchute and install the latest version?

I just disabled the services - time constraints meant I wasn't able to sort the new version yet !!!!
Will also be hoping to test the newer version a bit before installing.

BTW - have had a W2K3 SBS Server hang on startup, again remedied by disabling the APC services.
