Hello tek-tippers
I am complete Newbie in Data Protector 6.2 and need to backup a NAS and/or a network location.

I do like to read manuals. And i did
so i Understand that I am complete newbie, so I ask for help from the community.

I have a windows 2008 server R1 SP2, it has a NAS unit configured
the NAS brand is buffalo model "linkstation pro duo", I just know that I configured some network shares and my applications can access them without glance.

Now the dataprotector.

the customer installed the DP 6.2 client on the server, and it just shows C and D drives (the local ones)
I mapped the NAS as N:\ and the DP does not show it

If I tried to locate the NAS directly from DP, it will try to install the client on the NAS.... as far i know, that will lead nowhere, except that NAS would be a win system or something alike

Any hint will be very appreciated!

Thanks
