Complete Java Newbie needs advice 2

Hello, I've got plenty of ecperience with QB, (D)Html, CSS, JScript, etc; but it's now time for me to take the next step into (21st century) functionality and teach myself Java.
Does anyone have some good advice on which tutorial(s) or book(s) I should start with here(definitely looking for an "101" level intro. here)?

Thank you both greatly for your input, I think I'm gonna take both of your advice by reading the sun java tutorial, then signing up for the books by internet-browser system that is linked on the java.net page to access the Head First Java book that h0h0h0 suggested, along with whichever references other users may direct me to.
