Hopefully this will ba nice easy one

I need to set overall project completion to a percentage, I then need the date when this will be achieved (theroetical)

Is there a simple way to achieve this ?

Many thanks

Dave

hi,

Pct * ([Scheduled Project Finish] - [Scheduled Project Start]) + [Scheduled Project Start]

or

[Scheduled Project Start] * (Pct * ([Scheduled Project Finish] - 1) + 1)

Assuming the project actually started on the scheduled start date, otherwise you must shift the projected end date accordingly.

You can use the update project command to update a series of tasks (or all tasks) as of a specific date. As Skip notes, % complete is a duration measurement in Project. It is calculated as [Actual Duration]/[duration]*100.

You can always use the summary task and the project % complete will automatically be calculated for you without having to create code.
