Can anyone point me to some useful sites for an absolute beginner in MVS Assembler. I found the books in Bookman too difficult. I'd like to learn to write Assembler routines which would be called from my Rexx code.
Many thanks

You may want to check out the assembly forum on this site. I suspect that you would get more response. I learned 370 assembler many years ago using a Deltak course but I am not sure that they are still around.

There are lots of good books out there but I am not sure what level you really need. Some get a little scary at times.

There are also some pretty decent MVS education sites that may be worth a look.

Hello Tpms2000,

You can try the book of Carmine a. Cannatello

Advanced Assembler Language and MVS Interfaces.

It is a good book with a lot samples, you can even buy the complet set of programmes given in this book.

Regards,

Tzu.
