Hi folks,

I have no idea about compiling source code and so I'm quite confused about compiling SAMBA for AIX ...

The official HowTo mentions several "options" I can set when running "configure" ...

Do I need these options or will the compiled SAMBA binary be fine without them in any case ?

Which options may be of interest ?

Regards
Thomas

If you don't know what you're doing (like me!) the only answer is to use the 'out of the box' version. I have had no problems with
Code:
./configure
make
make install
You may need libiconv.a which is usually available from the same source as you got the Samba from.

On the internet no one knows you're a dog
