When trying to run a V8 compiled report against ORACL8i with ODBC driver the report scheduals fine but the parameters are asked for at the schedualed time not during the setup.

Is something missing? maybe a dll or something?

Sullikit: In order to help pls explain how you are scheduling the report and what you mean by setup David C. Monks

David,
You are right.

I am using the Crystal scr8_distribution down load file which back engineers V8
to have a compiled report and distribution method. It was the forrunner to the Web Compiled reports.

Unfortunately, this is a weakness of the compile reports feature. If you have parameters, you can't really use the delay function. There is no workaround, except to drop the parameters and "hard code" the values in the report before scheduling it. Ken Hamady

Thanks Ken.

Was this an issue with Seagate info schedualling as well?

I haven't used Info scheduling, but I seem to remember hearing that Info would hold the parameter until the time came. Crystal does not. Ken Hamady

Sullikit: Ken's memory served him well. Info does have the ability to delay processing of a parameter driven report until the selected schedule time David C. Monks
