I am trying to build rxvt for SCO Openserver 5.0.5. I have built it many differnet ways trying to get it compiled right. It works fine, but if you do a who/finger/last it doesn't come up with a user name. This is fine for me as a programmer, but a System Admin will have problems with that.

I tried forcing it to use utmp.h and utmpx.h but neither helped the problem.

Any ideas? [sig][/sig]

oldhamca,

I noticed on Solaris' xterm there's an X resource parameter you can modify to control writing to utmp.

utmpInhibit (class UtmpInhibit)
Specifies whether or not xterm should try to record
the user's terminal in /etc/utmp.

Perhaps it would also apply to rxvt?
