Hello,

I have to monitor Windows NT 4 servers using SNMP.
To have good informations i must compile the 'Microsoft performance' mib or the 'host resource' one on the servers.
Could someone tell me how to find those mibs and how to compile them on Windows NT.

Thanks,

Vins,

The MIB is compiled into some type of network management software and each is slightly different. Which one are you using? The snmp agent on the NT system gathers the info and sends it out as SNMP packets, that is interpreted by the MIB for the management software. As far as I know, no MIB needs or can be compiled on the monitored system, only the management system.

If you need the MIB to compile on to the management sever, do a search for MIBs on the MS web site, or search for MIBs on the web.
