Hello, I work with Internet explorer 5but it seems that in Netscape my site is different, layers are not at the same place, things moves. Is there something I can do to have the exact same site in Internet Explorer and Netscape??
With Webtrends, I see that 8% of people that come see my site have netscape and 4% have another browser. It would be nice to see the same thing on every browser.
thanks for your help

hey,

there's a lot you can do to make it view the same on all types of browsers. i should say... there's a lot TO do...

each browser is unique in its own way, they can look different and render code different as well. what you need to do is create code that can be read by all.

easier said than done.

i find it annoying, partly because i'm still a rookie at the whole web programming thang, so my words don't have much weight behind them. but if you do take these words into consideration... small steps my friend. pick one thing on your site that appears different, work on that until you get it to display on all browsers, then go on to the next piece on your page.

javascript is a handy tool to help with all of this... it can find out which browser the visitor has, then redirect them to a certain chunk of code that would work in their browser. ya dig?

hope i proved to be some help... and remember... questions! keep asking...

peace!

sorry... on top of all that... what program do you use for creating your pages? if you're using something like microsoft frontpage, that will most likely tend to explorer more than the other browsers. self coding is best. that way you know what's going on and where. if you knew all of this... good for you. hahahaha.

no war.
