AFAIK, it is supported by IE 6/Win, IE 5.2/Mac, Moz, NN6, FF, Safari, and Opera 8 (possibly 7 and earlier).

Class selector (.) works in most browsers since the fourth generation. It will definitely work in all the browsers still actively used today.

Joke aside, you are asking about the [tt]white-space[/tt] property. According to my tests it works in all the standards compliant browsers in Windows (Geckos, Opera) and works in IE6 with the correct doctype -- standards mode. I reckon it does not work with previous IE versions since those browsers had no standards mode.

I hope someone can give you hands on experience with Mac. Unfortunately, most pages that list CSS properties and their compatibility seem rather outdated.

Yes, download IE, FF, NS and Opera from their respective companies. They're all free and can all be installed side-by-side. Write a little test page that uses the properties you want to test. Find out for yourself.

You'll find it quicker than posting such questions on here and waiting for someone else to do it for you.
