Would I be able to use an ATI Radeon X1300 512mb AGP graphics card with an ABIT AV8 motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 3800+? If not, what cards would work? (I'd mainly be using my computer for digital photography, microsoft office, and a few games)

As far as I can see there are know issues with this combo:
I do however have a couple of points to make:
X1300 comes in 3 flavours: plain X1300/X1300PRO and then the X1300 Hypermemory2
Some models only have 64bit interface
Hypermemory2 shares system memory
They are not good gaming performers

I guess it depends on your priorities, if you want to play any recent games at reasonable frame rates then the X1300 series is not for you, fine for digital photography and web browsing.

At around the same price you could pick up an older Nvidia AGP based 6600GT and although these generally only have 128mb onboard that memory is DDRIII, the card overall is much faster than an X1300Pro.
Look at FEAR in game frame rates for example.
