Compatibility Paint Shop Pro 9 and 8 1

Hi,
Is there any way to open a PSP9 file in PSP8? I have 9 on my laptop but 8 at uni and i cannot open the PSP9 image file in PSP8 which is v. annoying.
Can anyone help please?
I would convert it to a Jpeg image except I have to submit the image with all layer intact as a .psp file.

Probably not. In PSP 9 you can save as a PSP 8 file and even set that as a default if you plan on doing a lot of this.
